Admissions Counselor and ’04 alum Christopher Willey’s paintings are included in New American Paintings #65, a compilation of the works of 40 artists selected from among more than 1,000 entrants in the Tenth Open Studios Midwestern Competition held last spring.
Christopher’s submission was the first body of work he did as a MIAD graduate.
The Open Studios Competitions began in 1993 as an experiment in art publishing. Now bimonthly, they have become America’s largest series of artist competitions. Each competition is cataloged in a regional volume of New American Paintings: Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic, Southern, Midwestern, Western, and Pacific Coast.
Also, Christopher’s exhibition Again, Again, & Again was held at the Mode Art Gallery in Davenport, IA, from July 14-August 15.
