“MIAD’s Student/Alumni Art Sale is full of energy,” says Jerry Benjamin, MIAD Trustee. “It lets you look at the future trends in contemporary art and design, while also seeing the cultural direction unique to each generation of participating alumni.”
“Most of all, the works just beg you to buy them and take them home.”
By works, Benjamin is referring to the thousands for sale, priced for both beginning and experienced collectors. Proceeds benefit the participating artists and designers.
To beat the crowds, the community is invited to a Preview Party, Thursday, October 18, 6-9 p.m., for $20. The event is free on Friday, October 19, 5-10 p.m. and Saturday, October 20, 12-5 p.m.
The 2012 Student/Alumni Art Sale, sponsored by M Magazine, is an integral part of MIAD’s Homecoming Weekend, which also encompasses Parent/Partner Day on October 20, and activities for alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff during its three-day celebration.
