Illustration seniors Autumn Brown and Katelyn Kolis-Bowler were selected in the prestigious 2013 Student Scholarship Competition at the Society of Illustrators.
The Society of Illustrators Student Competition is the largest competition for illustration students. On average, 150 winning entries are selected from more than 5,000 submissions to be featured in a catalogue and an exhibit at the Society of Illustrators in New York. Kolis-Bowler’s Penfield poster design and Brown’s personal logo design were chosen.
Brown said, “This news has been nothing but an amazing surprise, and a sign that hard work and effort does pay off. I’m filled with such gratitude for all the opportunities and accomplishments I’ve been afforded this year at MIAD.”
