Dec 16, 2021 | News

The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) invites proposals for art and design exhibitions for the nonprofit college’s on-campus Frederick Layton Gallery and Brooks Stevens Gallery.

The mission of MIAD’s galleries is to support learning, cultivate conversation with the community and demonstrate the cultural value of art and design. MIAD supports and welcomes professional emerging and established artists, designers and curators at all stages of their career working in all types of media to propose exhibitions. New exhibitions, traveling exhibitions or exhibitions that deserve another showing at a different venue are welcome.

The Frederick Layton Gallery and Brooks Stevens Gallery feature six exhibitions reaching diverse audiences each year, including the MIAD Senior Exhibition every April.

Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis, however, proposals for the 2023 calendar year or later seasons are due January 31, 2022. For more information or to submit your proposal, visit miad.edu/galleryrfp.
