MIAD DEFINE, college-wide day of conversation and learning (and the day that cancels all classes), celebrates its fifth year on Wednesday, April 22, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
This unique event fosters dialogue across all majors, disciplines and class years. Students, faculty and staff lead presentations, all with the purpose of creating meaningful inquiries about contemporary art and design.
Seniors present their thesis work in the 2015 Senior Exhibition from 9 a.m. – noon, and faculty facilitate wandering critiques through the galleries with juniors and sophomores, while Foundations students interview seniors directly about their work.
The afternoon offers lectures, panels, theme-based critiques, round table discussions and more – all led by faculty, staff and students.
For the second year, “Between Two Floors” will be in the freight elevator from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Passengers can talk about what MIAD means to them while heading to their next session.
