Major: Interior Architecture and Design

“I like to make people stop and think. When I came to MIAD, Interior Architecture and Design immediately made me stop and think.

It ignited my lifetime passion and sustained my drive to excel – despite a home life that included the arrest of my mother and the involvement of the Department of Children and Family Services.

By my sophomore year at MIAD, I got an internship. I also took a furniture class. My furniture made people stop and think – so much so that I won Best in Show at the Midwest Fine Furnishings Show. I am proud that MIAD now has a furniture program of the highest caliber.

MIAD is the home that has allowed me to continue to excel. Not a day goes by that I do not stop and think about how my scholarship to MIAD has made my passion and my career possible.“
