Summer Gallery Night & Day, July 24 – 25, showcases the best and brightest of the 2015 graduating class, high school students’ advanced works and a scavenger hunt for families.
On view in the Frederick Layton Gallery through Gallery Day, Saturday, July 25, the 2015 Juried Senior Exhibition features capstone work from more than 30 newly graduated seniors representing all of MIAD’s Bachelor of Fine Arts majors.
For two days only, students from MIAD’s Pre-College Advanced Studio Concepts course show a variety of work created throughout the three-week program, including collage printmaking, photography, drawing, graphic design, illustration and figure drawing.
This exhibit of high school student work is on view in the Brooks Stevens Gallery Friday, July 24, 5 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 25, 10 a.m. – noon. Families with young children should note that this exhibition includes both nude and clothed figure drawings.
Families can challenge each other to find how many times MIAD’s logo colors are used in the 2015 Juried Senior Exhibition for a chance to receive tickets to the Student/Alumni Art & Design Sale Preview Night on December 3. Logo color scavenger sheets are available at the building’s security entrance desk Gallery Night and Day.
