Joe Boblick received his MFA in Painting and Drawing from UW-Milwaukee and has been teaching at MIAD since 1996. His work has been exhibited throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and is in private collections in London, Ireland, and the United States. He received a merit award for his painting Fish 8 at the 2014 Wisconsin Biennial exhibition. Joe’s sculptural work utilizes plaster and casting techniques honed through restoration work for Orlandini Studios. As an ornamental plasterer, he has worked on such historic buildings as Mansion Hill Inn in Madison, the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee, the Mitchell Building in Milwaukee, Central Library in Milwaukee, Stone Manor in Lake Geneva, and other noteworthy buildings on the national registry of historic places. Joe has been part of the faculty at MIAD since 1996.
