David Livingston creates distorted interactive virtual landscapes using digitally scanned and manipulated abstract drawings and paintings. His work has satirized political propaganda through public performances and multimedia art installations that explore intersections between perception, politics, and the collective unconscious. Livingston was born in New York City in 1982 and currently resides in Milwaukee, WI. The artist has exhibited his work internationally in galleries and non-profit art spaces in Milwaukee, New York City, New Haven, CT, Paris, and Venice. He received his MFA in painting from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, in 2011. In addition to his studio practice, he teaches interactive digital media courses in and around Milwaukee.
