After graduating MIAD with a painting major, I got a job at a small video production company where I wrote scripts, shot and edited videos, and created graphic elements and animations. Soon after, I landed a job as an editor and part time television producer with KWQC-TV in Davenport, IA. This launched my career as a broadcast news producer in Iowa and Milwaukee. I left television in 2013 to work in communications. I am currently the Waukesha County Press Secretary. The skills I learned at MIAD serve me every day in my career as a communications professional who uses visual, verbal, and written skills to communicate with a mass audience.
