Janet Zweig is a well-known artist whose work has been exhibited widely, including in The Brooklyn Museum of Art, Exit Art, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, The Walker Art Center and The Cooper Union.
Some of her most recently installed public works are a 1,200-foot frieze at the Prince Street subway station for New York’s Arts for Transit, two sculptures for a St. Louis bridge and a system-wide interactive project for Minneapolis’ Light Rail train stations that incorporates the work of over 100 Minnesotans. She is currently working on public projects for many major cities, including Milwaukee. Her numerous awards include the Rome Prize Fellowship and two NEA fellowships, as well as residencies at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center and the MacDowell Colony.
