Foundations student Xavier Ruffin’s work is part of the 2007 Scholastic Art Awards – Wisconsin Regional Exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum from Jan. 27 – Feb. 24. The exhibition recognizes and encourages excellence in the visual arts across the state and features outstanding work by students in grades 7 -12. The art on view is selected by 24 artists and arts educators from over 1,700 entries in 17 categories.
Xavier, who started in MIAD’s Pre-College program in middle school and continued throughout his high school years, won a Gold Key Award in Photography and will continue on to the national competition.
