Ryan Peter is an artist working at the intersection of painting and photography. His work has been included in a number of exhibitions at museums and galleries in the US and Canada, including the Vancouver Art Gallery, Vancouver; Polygon Gallery, North Vancouver; Susan Hobbs, Toronto; Platform Centre for Photographic and Digital Arts, Winnipeg; and the Walter + McBean Galleries, San Francisco. Peter was the recipient of two Project Grants to Visual Artists from the Canada Council for the Arts and two Project Assistance for the Visual Arts Grants from the British Columbia Arts Council. He has taught at the University of British Columbia, California College of the Arts, and San Francisco Art Institute, and is currently an Instructor at MIAD and a Lecturer in the Department of Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
