MIAD’s galleries launch call for art & design proposals for 2024 exhibitions
The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design invites artists nationwide to submit proposals for exhibition in 2024. MIAD, a non-profit art and design college located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, features two professional on-campus galleries, the Frederick Layton Gallery and the Brooks Stevens Gallery.
The mission of MIAD’s galleries is to support learning in areas related to all of the college’s academic programs, cultivate conversation with the community, and demonstrate the cultural value of art and design. Exhibits are complemented by public and educational events and often focus on diverse, innovative and interdisciplinary practices. MIAD welcomes submissions from artists, designers and curators at all stages in their careers and in all types of media. Due to the size of the galleries, preference will be given to thematic exhibits and group shows featuring the work of two or more artists.
MIAD’s galleries host nine exhibitions each year, including the college’s senior exhibition every April. Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis, but proposals for the 2024 calendar year and later are due January 31, 2023. Click here for more information or to submit your proposal.
