MIAD matches donations to Milwaukee organizations fighting racial injustice

MIAD Community MatchMIAD annually commits $10,000 to match dollar for dollar donations by students, faculty, staff and alumni to selected nonprofit organizations in the City of Milwaukee fighting racial injustice.

In 2020, MIAD matched $6,942.96 in donations to eight organizations: LIT, BLOC, Milwaukee Urban League, YWCA of SE Wisconsin, Milwaukee Fellows Mentorship Program, America’s Black Holocaust Museum, WI Black Historical Society and Public Allies.

After receiving input from students, faculty and staff, MIAD has selected this year’s matching fund organizations through December 31, 2021 (listed in no order of preference).

Participants should make their donations directly to any of the organizations below, and then submit a gift receipt from the organization(s) to annekirschmann@miad.edu. The college will honor donations to these organizations made from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 until the $10,000 total is reached.

MIAD will keep our community apprised of progress toward this calendar year’s $10,000 match.
