Alisa Toninato, is a Wisconsin born artist and 2005 Sculpture Alumna, owner, designer & creator behind two creative businesses; FeLion Studios and American Skillet Company, both located in Madison WI. FeLion and American Skillet specialize in cast iron cookware for artistic & industrial manufacturing, but maintain 2 separate clientele between a private commission buyer and the National consumer goods market.
Honored as one of ten selected businesses for the inaugural Martha Stewart American Made Awards in 2012, FeLion Studios has since received National exposure through publications such as the New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, Duluth Trading Company and features on National TV shows such as the TODAY show, (2016), ABC’s The Chew (2015), Wisconsin Foodie (2014), The Martha Stewart Show (2012), Handcrafted American (2017), Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine documentary, (2018), and featured on ABC World News with David Muir, (2018).
I got my first job directly after graduating through this list serve. I was a sculptor and technical fiberglass tech inside the thematic scenery industry for museum quality exhibits at Cost of Wisconsin, and worked there for 3 solid years before branching out and eventually opening up my own foundry studio practice.
