White Chapels 2015
Portrait Society Gallery
Professor Leslie Fedorchuk and alum kathryn e. martin show work in this annual exhibit in which artists create any type of room with a meditation quality and a place to sit. The intent of White Chapels is to fashion a space in which to contemplate the harsh months of winter in the midwest, to settle into a moment of quiet, and to consider the disjuncture in western culture between the sacred and the profane.
