MIAD Interior Architecture and Design and Industrial Design students took top honors at the Fine Furnishings Show and the Association of Rotational Molders Design Competition.
Kyle Parnau ’16 and Anthony Saporiti ’16 both were 9th Annual Midwest Fine Furnishings Show – Best in Show Award recipients.
Parnau received the Student Award for Furniture – Traditional, with judges noting the “nice lines of the Scandinavian-inspired piece.”
Saporiti received the Student Award for Furniture – Contemporary, Modern or Mid-Century Inspired, with the judges remarking on the “great attention to detail creating an intricate piece that is also extremely functional.”
Industrial Design students swept the Rotational Molders Design Competition. Celia Carroll ’15 placed first for “Composter;” Caitlin Washburn ’15 placed second with “Bow Haus;” and Jacqueline Edwards ’15 placed third for her “Hospital Wagon” design.
