Opening Tuesday, September 23, Re-Imagining – Re-Imaging invites the viewer to respond to works from MIAD’s extensive design collection.
The exhibit, on view September 23 – February 14 in the Brooks Stevens Gallery, will also feature Re-Imagined Events, a series of events created by Nate Pyper ’12, beginning Gallery Night, Friday, October 17.
Curated by MIAD students, this interactive exhibition invites responses to objects from MIAD’s design collection through writings, renderings and newly created works of art and design that will become part of the display.
Re-Imagined Events unlock the past by bringing artifacts out of their sleep and back to life, kicking off Gallery Night with a DJ playing music on vintage record players from MIAD’s design collection.
Student curators include: Stephanie Gage ’15, Kayle Karbowski ’15, Sabastian Laurent ’16, Cody Powers ’16, Tom Roberts ’14 and Rebecca Schnirman ’16.
