Allyson Mellberg Taylor received her BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and her MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally at galleries and museums including: The Rose Museum, The Milwaukee Art Museum, La Maison Rouge in Paris, The Atlanta Contemporary Art Museum, The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, Space 1026, Needles and Pens, Third Drawer Down, Lump, and Cinders. Allyson’s work has been featured in Venus Magazine, Bust Magazine, Yen Magazine, Schritte Ins Offene, and The Drama Magazine. She is a member of Team Lump (a Raleigh, NC based collective) and she is represented by Cinders Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Allyson lives, works, and teaches in Harrisonburg, VA with her husband and collaborator Jeremy Seth Taylor and their cat Fricktoria.
