The Humanity of the Moment, an exhibition whose name derives from a collaborative adult learning experience by MIAD and the Milwaukee Art Museum, opens in Milwaukee’s City Hall Rotunda with a reception Wednesday, May 26, 4:45 – 7:30 p.m., and runs through June 4.
The exhibition is the culmination of MIAD’s new Professional Developer course taught by internationally exhibited photographer Paul Calhoun to foster the advanced photographer’s development of a personal vision. Held in conjunction with MAM’s recent Street Seen exhibition, students worked with MAM Curator of Photography Lisa Hostetler and Guest Artist Saul Leitner while Calhoun conducted studio instruction at MIAD. The exhibition is free and open to the public at 200 E. Wells Street. After the opening, hours are 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Continuing Education courses in MIAD’s Adult Learning Professional Developer program provide multifaceted creative growth for professionals in all fields of art and design, while the Skill Builder program develops basic skill sets in a variety of disciplines that span fine arts, design and related technologies.
