Emily Siegel Belknap ’07 (Integrated Studio Arts), won the 2009 Joanne Johnson Best in Show Award at the fourth annual Hidden River Art Festival, for her tranquil 3D mixed media landscapes.
The three day weekend art festival showcased 80 Wisconsin artists at the WilsonCenter for the Arts in Brookfield and was attended by about 4,000 people.
Belknap, 25, grew up in Ohio and Northern Illinois. She now makes Milwaukee her home where she is a working and exhibiting artist who is extensively involved in the gallery and artistic communities.
Additionally, alumni Katie Musolff ’04 (Painting) and Karin Haas ’08 (Printmaking) as well as faculty member Eriks Johnson each earned an Honorable Mention in the festival.
