Recent Illustration graduate Gabriela Riveros ’16 put her creative talents to work designing the 2016 Milwaukee Film Festival campaign art.
Milwaukee Film Festival andlocal female owned design shop Lone Shoe Graphics hired Riveros to design this year’s campaign art. Cathy Brautigam, Lone Shoe lead designer, worked with Riveros as she created the dynamic illustration.
“When I found Gabriela’s work, I was literally blown away. And working with her was equally great. She understood the direction I wanted to take this year’s campaign art, and she delivered above and beyond my expectations,” said Brautigam.
Riveros was able to incorporate her personal style into the design, taking “inspiration from culture, the past, and art history. The end product depicts the wild side of Milwaukee, with inspiration from Hieronymus Bosch’s famous painting The Garden of Earthly Delights,” added Riveros.
The 2016 Milwaukee Film Festival takes place September 22 – October 6.
