MIAD and Wisconsin Art Education Association, the state’s largest professional organization for art educators, recognized Roxane Mayeur as the MIAD/WAEA 2006 Creative Educator Award recipient. Ms. Mayeur was recognized for her excellence in teaching and incorporating art, design and technology into her curriculum.
Roxane is one of the founding teachers of Community High School, a teacher run Milwaukee Public Schools charter, focused on social justice issues utilizing an arts integrated curriculum. As a part of the Creative Educator Award Roxane will receive a full scholarship to MIAD’s 2007 summerCreative Educators Institute (CEI).
