“A little creative thought” and a great deal of generosity by Lindsey Bovinet, Chairman of the Board of Interior Systems, Inc., have transformed MIAD’s Om Nom Café into a gathering place for students that invites both admiration and conversation.
Bovinet, whose company provides interior design/build solutions to global companies, donated almost $100,000 worth of furniture for the Café.
“I believe in the mission of MIAD to my very soul,” says Bovinet. “On a most basic level, I believe that we are asking students who pass through the doors at MIAD to embrace nothing short of a life-changing event. To no longer consider the world as they have before, but to begin seeing with a new vision and purpose.”
“The new Om Nom Café is an example of what we are asking our students to strive for in their lives and careers – something they can all be proud and appreciative of – and an example of what can be accomplished with a little creative thought.”
The high quality and superbly designed furniture is enhanced by the illustrations of Michael Marten ’12, who also designed the Om Nom Café’s new logo.
“The new MIAD Café really looks amazing,” says Grant Gill ’12. “Michael did a wonderful job of making it a fun place, and the furniture is a nice change. I can really see the Café being a great gathering spot for our school’s campus.”
