Carey’s chosen musical expression is a beatific, restorative panorama of beauty, inspired by landscape and the wonder of nature. Creative Fusion 2013 - Drawing You In
Creative Fusion ‘Drawing You In’ – Milwaukee’s signature charitable event – raised a record $308,000 for MIAD scholarships May 4, 2013.
Guests joined co-chairs Tom and Jennifer Florsheim for an evening unlike any other in celebration of MIAD and the 98% of students who receive financial aid, helping them to become creative leaders in the community.
“MIAD is such a treasure for our city,” said Jennifer Florsheim. “Tom and I both had the pleasure of working with recent MIAD graduates and have been so impressed with their passion, creativity and professionalism.”

Creative Fusion 2012 - Take Flight
Milwaukee’s signature charitable event returned for a sixth year May 5, 2012, as more than 300 guests took flight at Creative Fusion with event co-chairs Matt and Brenda Levatich. Presenting Sponsors included Harley-Davidson Motor Company and Jason and Milsco, A Unit of Jason.
Sold out each of its previous years, the fun-filled event benefited MIAD scholarships and the 96% of MIAD students who receive financial aid to help them become the creative leaders who drive our economy.

“Creativity makes our world more interesting, productive and progressive, and we enjoy seeing MIAD students’ talents ‘take flight’ into meaningful professional and personal pursuits,” said the Levatichs, who encouraged guests to “come celebrate Creative Fusion with us.”
Guests’ spirits soared as Creative Fusion took surprising new paths in MIAD’s one-of-a-kind campus, including the opportunity to buy hundreds of works by student artists and designers.
Guests also experienced the art and design processes, while enjoying fine cuisine by Chef Scott Shully, live and silent auctions of fine art and design, the 2012 Senior Exhibition and a final destination of dancing in the 4th floor “Lounge.”
Creative Fusion 2011’s student speaker, Julie Xiong ’12, one of the 25% of MIAD students who are the first in their family to attend college, thanked donors for “making MIAD accessible to students like me” and shared her story.
